The XR4Human project at EQUIP 2025!

Prof. Rosemarie de la Cruz Bernabe, co-coordinator of the XR4Human Project, recently gave a keynote at the 66th EQuiP WONCA Europe Conference on โ€œThe Impact of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence in Family Medicine.โ€
Her talk โ€œEthical Governance of AI in Medical-Related Research in LMICs: The Case of the Use of Extended Reality Technologies (XR-AI),โ€ addressed the growing role of XR and AI technologies in medical training, diagnostics, surgery, and rehabilitation, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
She highlighted risks and harms of XR Tech in Medical-Related Research In LMICs and outlined recommendations for responsible, inclusive, and human-centered governance of XR-AI systems to ensure their benefits are equitably realised.
